was posted on the lomo blog. :D
LOMOTIP & TRICK OF THE DAY - FISHEYE2 WITH STROBE FLASH
by pan_dre2007-03-05 17:23:39
Lomotip & Trick of the day - FISHEYE2 with Strobe FlashThe Fisheye2 has a new function, the bulb mode!! First thing that came to mind...the strobe!! Though it seems that the MF on the strobe flash doesn’t multi-flash with the fisheye2, but what could be done was to use both hands, one to hold the shutter open, the other on the flash ‘MF’ button. There you have it, Strobe Fisheye!! The effects of both the Fisheye‘s 180 Lens and the multi-flash capturing the movements.by ymmij.
Featured on the Lomonotebook
aha.. my tip and tricks was featured in the lomo notebook. :D hahaha..
a little small on the page but.. hey.. it's supposed to be a NOTEBOOK! DUH!
and am very happy that cyanwater (my mentor) is featured in it as well.

Then one day, he came to visit Singapore on a short trip (work related), and we both managed to find time one evening to meet up just for a chat and some food. I passed him some stuffs and he passed me much more! :D

ToXpose Meetup 2006
Sunday, 22/10/06. the fellows in ToXpose came down from netherlands (if i'm not wrong.. Goes) :D Amazing to meet fellow photographers from different countries. amazing to meet people with the same interest. Amazing to have beer!!
It's really great to meet people, different people, but having a common interest.
The Analog Rumble Exhibition
In Sept '06, there was this competition on Lomography, The Analog Rumble. A submission for the Exhibition Photokina. I've made some submission and some of the shots had the honor to be in the Exhibition! :D so glad. Though it's sad that the exhibition was in Germany, and I could barely afford to go there. :(

Seagull TLR
wat is a seagull? wat is a TLR? how does it work? hell, I had no frigging idea, but this seagull was just there on the shelves of cash convertor (a 2nd hand shop). It's just such a beauty that you wouldnt mind it as a paperweight. i didnt know how to test it before the purchase to see if it's working. :D
anyway, so... i brought it back home. but only to find out(after searching the internet) that it isnt working. ok, i take back my words, I'm not gonna let it be a paperweight without first attempting to get it fixed! :P
~open~rip~fiddle~screw...
and it's all well.. looking different too. :D
Next Stop thailand (Bangkok)
1st July 2006, Lca and Holga acompanied me to Thailand (bangkok). A first holiday with these 2 cams. Though it was just a 3 days trip, there were just so many to capture.
a stranger became friend
ha.. ok.. so i have my lca.. still getting crap shots. determined to get better.. just as anyone would have done, searched the lomohomes for inspiration, asked for pointers, etc. There were a lot that awed me, of cos, now those are the big names you probably know if you were into lomography / lomohomes. One particular lomography caught my attention. Cindy (Cyanwater). Her shots are amazing. Check her lomohome out and you'll understand. :P well, probably becos she's from Singapore as well, and i guess pics are better when there's something you can relate to. :D
ok.. so i signed her guestbook.. blah blah blah.. she introduced me to the ToXpose forum a Great community of lomographers / photographers, where i met a few more other lomographers, zann (jestre), george (badeggcat), andrew (ndroo), puxe_research, martin (Mezzotint ) etc. Amazing bunch of people. :D even met up with the guys from toxpose when they came down Singapore. well, that's another story, a later time. :D
So i asked her all the noob questions about lomography, xpro, etc etc.. guestbook to emails, emails to messenger, and eventually we met cos i'm buying some slide films from her just before my bangkok trip. :)

The Holga
15th June 2006, was the date I've gotten my Holga from perly. 1st time into medium format.. erm.. first time i knew there was such a thing as medium format.. and that perhaps gave me the reason to buy the Holga. 'lca + 35mm, i need a med format cam'.
back 'home'
some shots taken back home. meet up with a good pal, Mel, the one who introduced me to lomography. talked about many many things.. and found out, there're many things which i didnt know then. :D
~damnit, all the old photos are in lomohome, not flickr.. arghh!!~
going back home
'never have I missed home so much...'
1st June 2006
was finally on the way back home, Singapore, with my LC-A accompanying me on the lonely flight. Enough images of Fujairah for now, time to capture familiar moments that I've so missed so much.
~photos? yes yes.. i'll upload these later too.~
UAE - Dubai / Fujairah
so.. i've received the LCA / colourflash. I know nuts about this cam. Hell, i didnt even know about the distance settings and apertures. Not to mentioned 'x-pro'.
well, these are the first few rolls taken in UAE.
~photos coming up soon~
~as I've just noticed those werent uploaded in my flickr~
the beginning..
the LC-A saved me... The date was 16th May 2006, when i finally decided and completed the order for my LC-A. Have been in Fujairah, UAE for too long, 1mths plus probably, for work. Overworked, Stressed... depressed, very much. Til' 21st May 2006 when the LC-A finally was delivered to my office.
this blog
inspired by a blog my good friend has created, i've decided to do one myself. like a 'lomo' journal.. but i've have to start from the very beginning. In 2006. Hopefully, i remember all the details correctly.
